Working Location: Nilai, Negeri Sembilan

Working Days/Hours: Monday to Friday (0830 to 1730)

Salary: Basic range from RM 2,500 – 3,500 with statutory contribution + leave entitlement + medical coverage

 

Job Description Summary

Material Controller is responsible to manage all the equipment, materials, parts, components,  accessories in and out of the storage and/or warehouse. Keeping an accurate on time inventory  records to ensure smooth progress in erection works.

 

Roles and Responsibility

  • Maintaining and updating inventory records of all the equipment, materials parts, components, and accessories, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and notify site engineer(s) and/or site manager(s) when the stock level is low for placing orders for replenishment as necessary.
  • Coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Inspecting incoming materials for quality and quantity. Report and discrepancies to procurement team, quality team, site engineer(s) and/or site manager.
  • Identifying and resolving any discrepancies in inventory records
  • Collaborating with site manager and site engineers to ensure that materials are always available when needed.
  • Implementing and maintaining inventory policies and procedures.
  • Conducting regular inventory audits and stocktaking activities, when required.
  • Checking and keeping of complete records of Delivery Order, Packing List, O&M Manual deliver along with the equipment/materials/accessories/tool/etc.
  • Manage and Issuance of materials, tools, equipment to erection subcontractors.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) or Diploma in any discipline or equivalent from recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management or a related field
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Excel
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience and exposure in inventory management for substation project(s) will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Microsoft Words, Excel, Power Point, etc).
  • Preferred to have bilingual communication skill in both i. English and ii. Malay.
  • Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
